Oral Exam -
Consists of visual examination, periodontal probing (evaluation of healthy gum tissue), x-rays, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and annual oral cancer screening.
Prophylaxis (dental cleaning) -
Your teeth will be cleaned by a Registered Dental Hygienist to maintain healthy teeth and gums.
Teeth Whitening –
A simple, non-invasive dental treatment used to change the color of natural tooth enamel and is an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile. Our office offers the Opalescence tooth whitening system.
Amalgam & Composite Fillings –
Amalgam (silver) fillings, and Composite (white) fillings are used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures, etc. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth will be removed and then restored with a silver or white filling.
Crowns and Bridges -
crowns are placed on teeth that are too weak to hold a filling. Bridges span the space where one or more teeth are missing. Both are permanent procedures.
Dentures & Removable Partials –
Our office offers better-looking and better-fitting dentures. If a removable partial is your treatment choice, we will help you restore comfort and proper function.
Sealants -
one of the latest developments in cavity prevention. Sealants are plastic coatings bonded to the chewing surfaces of molars and pre-molars to protect teeth against decay-causing bacteria. Sealants are painless to apply and usually last 4 - 8 years and can be refreshed after that time if necessary.
Extractions -
Performed for a wide variety of reasons, including tooth decay that has destroyed enough tooth structure to render the tooth non-restorable. Extractions of impacted or problematic wisdom teeth are routinely performed, as are extractions of some permanent teeth to make space for orthodontic treatment.
Dental Implants -
This is the latest technology available to replace missing teeth or to strengthen, support and retain dentures. Dental implants are small titanium posts that are painlessly placed in the jaw under the gums. Replacement teeth, or crowns, are attached to the implant, or dentures can be attached to the implants, and held firmly in place. The result is a comfortable and natural-looking smile. You'll be able to smile, talk and eat with confidence!
Periodontics -
Periodontal disease starts as an infection in the gums, caused by bacteria in plaque. The infection causes the gums to become swollen and tender and to pull away from the teeth. If left untreated, this causes bone deterioration and eventually, tooth loss.
Endodontics -
Endodontic treatment (or root canal therapy) is performed to save the natural tooth. In spite of the many advanced restorations available, most dentists agree that there is no substitute for healthy, natural teeth.
